• Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We store this so you can access your ToneMuse account and save your gear and settings.
• Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Dodo Payments. We store subscription and payment metadata (such as plan, status, and amount paid) to provide your service. We never store your full credit card details.
• Content you submit: Feature requests, feedback, saved gear, and community tone contributions you choose to share.
• Usage data: Basic technical information such as browser type, device, and pages visited to improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account, including signing you in with Google.
• To process and maintain your subscription and deliver paid features.
• To review and respond to feature requests, feedback, and support inquiries.
• To improve ToneMuse, research tones, and personalize your experience.
• To communicate with you about your account, payments, or important product updates.

3. How We Share Your Information

• Service providers: We use Convex (database and hosting) and Dodo Payments (subscription billing and payment processing) to operate ToneMuse. These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
• Google: Sign-in data is handled by Google's authentication services according to your Google account settings.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of ToneMuse, our users, or the public.
• We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies and Sessions

• ToneMuse uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences.
• Your login session lasts up to 90 days of inactivity before it expires.

5. Data Security

• We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and secure storage through our hosting provider.
• No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

• We keep your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.
• When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data, except where we are required to retain it for legal or billing purposes.

7. Your Rights

• You may access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time from your account settings.
• You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, or ask us to delete your account and data, by contacting us at the address below.
• You can sign out and stop using the service at any time. Closing your account removes your personal data in line with Section 6.

8. Children's Privacy

ToneMuse is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on tonemuse.app before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
